What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis has been around for centuries. It was used by early tribal healers
shaking rattles and chanting until the person went into trance.

Today 's Hypnotherapy is very different. Hypnotherapy is a modern tool to
assist a client that wishes to make a change, in just a few sessions get to
the underlying motivational cause in the subconscious and resolve the issue
    permanently.

The uses for hypnosis today and the proven success has made it a very
popular form of therapy. The modern hypnotherapist, with several hundred
hours of training, has a deep tool kit of techniques to get to almost any issue
that the client desires to resolve.

It has often been mistaken that the person going into hypnosis is going into
a sleep state. This is entirely incorrect. When James Braid named hypnosis
he knew very little about this procedure. The name, "hypnosis", after the
Greek word "Hypnos" meaning sleep, stuck to the profession. After he
realized that sleep was not involved he spent the better part of his life trying
    to change it.

Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state. People go in and out of hypnosis
several times every day. Have you ever driven past your destination and
then realize that you do not remember driving the last several miles? This is
what we call road Hypnosis. When you watch television and relate to one of
the main characters and cry during an emotional scene. That is also a form
    of hypnosis.

All hypnosis is self hypnosis. The client is always in control. When you
experience hypnosis, guided by a professional, your body is very relaxed
but your mind is fully awake. You are aware of everything going on around
you and you are the one that makes the decisions about changes you
desire. The hypnotherapist is the guide that, through education and
experience, guides you to the best choice to accomplish your goal. You
always have the option to choose and make decisions.
